Short Courses
Not everyone can study full or part-time, or needs to pursue a validated award. IBI offers the option of studying in a way that will fit in with your current commitments. You can study on either of our TWIN TRACKS, on-Site or on Zoom. All of our options are biblically based and applicable to church, ministry, and real life as a Christian. That is what “applied theology” is all about!
We have a range of day and evening courses which learners can attend on-site in Dublin or via Zoom. Each course has 2-3 hours per week of classroom teaching. Some of the courses due to be delivered in the next academic year are listed below. The schedule has not yet been finalised. To be notified of dates and times click here.

Students studying on our 4-week Online Courses or any of the Short Courses below can gain credits towards the IBI Foundation Award if they participate in the course and achieve a passing grade in the assignment. A total of 08 credits is needed to achieve the Foundation Award. All of the 4-week courses (either Online or Via Zoom) are one credit. All of Certificate and Diploma Level Courses are two credits. Please be aware the IBI Foundation Award cannot be credited towards the university validated Certificate, BA Hons or MA Programmes.
Fees
Certificate Level and Diploma Level
Module participation only €225
Module participation with assessment €325
The above Certificate classes are at first-year University level and short course applicants will need to show evidence they can study at this level. Applicants for Diploma level short courses will normally have completed a number of Certificate level courses or have studied theology at the Certificate level. You may apply to study one or more classroom modules with us, choosing to do assignments (with assessment) or not (audit). You will be expected to do any reading for each class even if you choose not to do assignments, so that you can fully participate in classroom discussions.
All Short Course applicants need to be able to access Moodle (our online learning platform), complete weekly reading, and participate fully in the class.
